CEF brings together community members, sponsors, volunteers, and shelter partners to raise funds and awareness for animal welfare programs.

About Us

The Cruz Eberle Foundation was founded by Kelly Jude Cruz and Hans Eberle with a simple purpose: to give back to the community and help animals in need find safety, care, and loving homes.
Kelly is a retired psychiatric registered nurse, and Hans is an engineer with NVIDIA. They share their home with two French Bulldogs, Henri and Pascal, whose lives have shaped the heart of the foundation’s mission.
In spring 2026, Kelly and Hans adopted Pascal from the Animal Samaritans’ shelter. Pascal had faced significant health challenges and underwent several surgeries before finding his forever home. Today, he is thriving — a powerful reminder of what compassionate shelter care and rescue work can make possible.
Moved by Pascal’s story and by the dedication of no-kill shelters, Kelly and Hans started the Cruz Eberle Foundation to help animals in need receive care, safety, and a chance at a better life.
The foundation exists to support rescue efforts, honor the resilience of animals like Pascal, and help more animals find the love and care they deserve.
